Every day, children are diagnosed with cancer. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is making it easy for anyone to join the fight against childhood cancer – and some individuals stand apart as they donate more than just their time or money.
Nic Brown, of A-1 National Fire Co., a member of Summit Companies (formally ABC Fire) in Reno Nevada is joining alongside others who want to make a difference. He will be shaving his head in honor of Vaughn S., an 11-year-old 5th grader who is undergoing cancer treatment. “Vaughn has been kicking cancer’s butt over the last few months and has taught us what it means to be strong. This is the least I can do to show him that he has a community of people around him, rooting for him. If all it takes is shaving my head, I’m all in for #vaughnstrong,” states Brown.
Make a donation today to support the upcoming “Shave for the Brave” event to be held at the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation on March 15th.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity dedicated to raising money for lifesaving childhood cancer research and funds more in childhood cancer grants than any organization except for the U.S. government. https://www.stbaldricks.org/
