Summit Companies, a premier fire and life safety company, announced today that its subsidiary, A-1 National Fire Co., has completed the purchase of Byrd’s Fire Protection. This acquisition is a strategic expansion of Summit Companies’ existing fire protection, life safety and consulting businesses. Summit Companies, through its subsidiaries, operates branches in the states of Arizona, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin.
Summit Companies continues to expand across the country with the strategic intent to provide a complete set of fire and life safety solutions to its customers. Byrd’s Fire Protection has been serving the Salt Lake City community since 1984 and their expertise with fire extinguishers and pre-engineered systems complements the existing service lines in the Salt Lake City branch. “Byrd’s Fire Protection is a great addition to our growing business. Byrd’s Fire Protection’s operations will fold into the existing Salt Lake City branch and is a strategic complement to the existing A-1 National Fire locations in Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. “After meeting with Larry Willis, owner of Byrd’s Fire Protection, we were extremely impressed with his overall operation.
