Summit Fire & Security Acquires Florida State Fire Equipment, Expanding Regional Fire Protection Services
RENO, NEVADA – Summit Fire & Security LLC, a subsidiary of SFP Holding, Inc. (Summit Companies), announced the acquisition of Florida State Fire Equipment Inc. in Orlando, Florida effective December 4, 2025.
Founded in 2004 by Dirk Linn, the company built its reputation on dependable service, specializing in fire extinguishers, pre-engineered fire suppression systems, and emergency exit lighting. With more than 40 years of experience in the fire protection industry, Dirk earned the loyalty of customers through consistent, high-quality service and installation for over two decades.

As Florida State Fire Equipment transitions to Summit Fire & Security, customers will be supported by Summit’s Orlando South, Florida location. They will also gain access to a broader suite of services, including fire sprinkler systems, fire detection and alarms, alarm system monitoring, fire extinguishers, pre-engineered kitchen fire suppression systems, special hazard fire suppression systems, and a full range of security solutions.
